This weekend, msnbc.com launched a sweeping redesign of the most important part of their site: the story page. The result is something unlike anything any other major news site is offering and is a bold step in a direction no competitor has gone down (yet): the elimination of pageviews as a primary metric.

An awesome optical illusion
Like any good workplace Google allows you to work in your preferred OS, as long as it’s not Windows. Apparently a Windows machine was to blame for their security breach in China, so they’re deciding to play it safe by only using operating systems that actually work. As an employee you can still use Windows on your personal laptop, but now you’ll need CIO approval. Brutal. Take that Micro$uck.
